Hailing from the western city of perpetual fog, cable cars, and hippies, Sohail has been a prolific artist for over three decades. Beginning with simple stick-figure ninjas drawn with scented markers at the age of 6, he has since honed his craft to produce award-winning narrative imagery, combining a visionary creative philosophy with outstanding technical skills.
Sohail's portfolio includes recognition from renowned organizations such as Pulitzer, Webbys, Emmys, Scripps Howard, Society of News Design, Online News Association, Malofiej, White House News Photographers Association, Esserman-Knight, Associated Press Sports Editors, Edward R. Murrow, Digiday Publishing, Virginia Press Association and many others.
Among his notable works is the documentary "Hollywood's Greatest Trick." This award-winning film sheds light on the often-unnoticed struggles of visual effects artists and has been screened at six film festivals worldwide.
When not busy with his Wacom pen and tablet, Sohail enjoys spending quality time with his two children, brewing his homemade French press coffee, and indulging in his passion for music as guitarist for Sacramento dream pop/indie folk band Ember Valley.
